One of my officemates recounted an experience she had while applying as a writer a few months back. She was looking for a writer position at jobstreet and noticed this company advertisement. The ad looked respectable and credible. It was looking for online writers - those with a flair in creative writing.
My officemate applied for the position and after a few days, someone called her up for a job interview in Makati. She went to the office and got interviewed. There she was informed that the company was looking for people to write for their porn sites. The interviewer told her that the job pays well (around 25k a month), since this isn't really a job suited for everyone.
The interviewer also told her that she had to take a test but she may opt to leave right there and then. But my officemate agreed to take the exam, since she was now curious and wanted to take on the challenge of writing some erotica.
The interviewer then sent her to a computer terminal with four pictures. The test required her to make up a story from these four pictures. My officemate thougth she could handle the pictures, thinking that these were just soft pornography. But the pictures were far from the R18 scenes in the movies.
It took her sometime to finish the "test". There were other applicants coming in and out of the room (all of them guys). They had an easier time finishing the exam, typing as fast as they could. Once she finished her story, she quickly left the company.
Obviously my officemate never came back for her second interview.
