New hard drive

Finally bought something from the BPI installment madness at Glorietta. It's a Lacie mobile hard drive, 100GB. I got it for around 5.2k (six gives). This mobile hard drive has six times the storage space of my home desktop computer.

Now I have enough space to store my ebooks, pictures, music, installers, and other stuff.

This means the next stage of memory storage after "Giga-byte" is the "Tera-byte".

Wedding reception at Gazebo Royale

Yesterday was my cousin Raymond's wedding. They held the wedding at Grace Village and it was a simple but sweet celebration. We also had a nice family reunion afterwards at Gazebo Royale.

It was a nice place to hold the wedding. The food catered by Hizons.

Chinese Drugstore in Ortigas

My parents have been telling me that there's a new Chinese drugstore in Ortigas and it is one of those respectable/credible drugstores that offer quality Chinese medicine. We finally got the time to visit the store last week.

The drugstore's name is Beijing Tong Ren Tang, or what I call the "drugstore from Beijing". According to my parents, this drugstore is China's version of Mercury Drugstore, with hundreds of outlets in China (I think). And this shop is its off shore branch in the Philippines.

The shop is located in front of the ADB office, not far away from Podium and the Hong Kong Bank office in Ortigas.

Aside from offering Chinese medicinal herbs, the store offers medical consultations from in-house Chinese doctors and acupuncture services. What makes the store unique is that the shop offers to cook/boil the herbs for you to drink. (Local drugstores only prepare the dried herbs for you, you have to boil the stuff at home yourself)





As usual, my father wasn't impressed with the place. Despite the fancy interior design and the cozy reception, there were only a few herbs and medicines in display. According to my dad, a real drugstore should showcase its authentic herbs and medicines.

I don't know if he's just playing favorites with the local Chinese drugstores, but I find the store okay. I would have wanted to look at the odd medicines they sell, like rhinoceros horns, dried seahorses, skinned lizards, and all that stuff.

4th BPI Installment Madness @ Glorietta

There's an ongoing BPI installment madness at the Sunken Area of the Ayala Mall in Makati. They're selling all sorts of gadgets and IT stuff, from digital cameras, cellular phones, laptops, desktops, and other things to make tech savvy people drool.

As usual, BPI is offering zero percent interest on the stuff being sold.

I'm only after one thing here, a portable hard drive... I'm looking for at least 200gb or more.
