My friends felt that the holiday was too short and they were hesitant to come back to work. I couldn't wait to get out of the house and experience "freedom" again (this is Jen's term, not mine).
It sucks to be locked up in the house while the world celebrates the coming of 2010. The house help was on vacation and we were left to take care of Aaron by ourselves. To make things more interesting, he got teething fever again.
We were fortunate that the "fever" was just colds and cough. It was just a week long quarantine from the outside world, so the baby can recover faster. But we ended up acquiring the virus and got the sniffles as well.
By the first Saturday of 2010, Aaron showed signs of recovery. So we chugged a lot of vitamin c and took the entire family out. We spent a couple of hours in a fairly deserted mall (somewhere in Makati).
We finally got to experience the New Year festivity after a couple of hours out of the house. I'm guessing that "freedom" will once again be a rare experience that we'll enjoy, once the new baby comes out.
